2013 Ford FusionFor 2013, Ford totally redesigned the Fusion. The V6 engine choice is gone, but that's OK because there are three 4-cylinder engine choices, two of them with EcoBoost technology (direct injection, turbocharging). In addition, there is a new Fusion Hybrid, and a new plug-in hybrid Fusion called the Energi which give an over 100 mpg (equivalent) fuel economy rating.
New for 2013 is a new optional auto stop-start system, which shuts the engine down when stopped to prevent wasteful idling improve fuel economy by 3.5%, and decrease emissions. There are plenty of other new things, outlined in the links below. Look forward to a class-exclusive lane-keep assist technology, adaptive cruise control, active park assist, and a blind spot information system.
