I picked up my car last night. Here's what I got:
- 2008 SEL V6 AWD
- Midnight Ink Blue (I think that's what the colour is called)
- Black interior
- Leather Seats
- Ambient Lighting
- Rear Spoiler
- Remote Starter
- Moons and Tunes
So far the car is great. I love Sync! I was hoping to get one with Navigation, but there are no dealers in Ontario that have SEL's with Navigation in stock (and they're no longer building 2008's).
I'm 6'1" and wish this car had a bit more headroom. I was trying to get one without a moon roof, but they seem to have made a ton of them with the moonroofs, and that's all that seem to be left in the dealer's lots.
I'm looking forward to driving my car home from work in 10 minutes |

Congratulations on your new Fusion! She sounds like a beauty!
I'm also 6'1" and my SEL has a moonroof, too. Same thing, I wish I had more headroom. Winter is worse than any other time of year: with my heavy coat on, my body is pushed up toward the roof more and I could feel my hair slightly brushing the moonroof at times.
Make sure you have your seat down all the way. The first few days I had mine I had to fiddle with my seat before I was convinced I got it down as far as it would go.
Now, with the warmer weather - and no coat - I have sufficient head room.

Thanks Terry08.
Yeah my hair brushes up against the top as well every now and then. I have the seat all the way down (and set all the way back). It's only a small annoyance. I wish I could have found a vehicle without the moonroof (as it apparently gives about an extra inch of headroom).
The Sync system is awesome! Love playing with it and learning new stuff all the time. Using your Bluetooth phone is great! |

If I position my body properly I have no headroom issues with the sunroof in my Fusion and I'm 6'2" (though I temper that with the admission that I'm bald as they come )

| I have the 08 SEL AWD too. It is Vapour Silver. I tinted the windows and it looks really great. I really like SYNC as well. It's fun to use. I had to order mine (took 10 weeks) and when I did, I ordered it with the nav system. I'm glad I did. I figure it would be more like a computer screen for the sync system and would be easier to use the system. |
