Hey guys,
I own a 2007 Ford Fusion with 14,500 miles on it. I bought the S model but now I have more income with a Credit Score of 750. I bought the S model because I didn't think I needed all the extra stuff. Well as I am thinking about it I would like to buy a newer model with leather seats because the S has cloth and my job (firefighter) makes it really hard to keep my car clean because it gets the smoke smell inside the car after work. I think this is stupid but I sort of want to do it. I was wondering could I "trade-in" my car or "upgrade" it and take higher monthly payments and get a SE or SEL?
What do ya'll recommend? I mean I like my car but I am kind of unhappy with the color and unhappy with the seats. I don't plan on getting rid of it anytime soon but don't want to pay this car off and then start a new payment. I was wondering if you guys had any advice for me? |

I would wait till august or sept. and get a clearance model 08.If you do not want to wait that long you can always either sell it yourself or go to the dealer and wheel & deal!!!! _________________ silver@black 4-ever! |

You are going to take a beating in the trade.....I bought my SE and in hind sight....I too wish for the leather...I am keeping my eyes peeled on eBay for a leather interior.... I saw a factory leather "skin" kit that was taken off an 07 because the customer wanted a different color and it was going mondo cheap...but my car does not have the passenger side fold down seat so it wouldn't work.
I would recommend having leather installed....it will increase the value of your car and you would not take a pounding trading so early. Good Luck! _________________ My car:

| Yup, I wouldn't suggest a trade unless you threaten not to save them when they call 911 next time. I went to see what my trade-in would be. I bought my 06 SEL for $28k, I owe ~$22k on it, they wanted to give me $11k for it in prime condition. I maintained professional courtesy and just walked out. |

I have camel leather seats in my '08 Milan.
They sure get dirty fast and I only ...well mostly...wear suits when driving.
Bluejeans at other times but it is irksome that the seats seem to get so dirty. Wish I had gotten darker seats. _________________ 2008 Moss green Premier I4 Milan, camel leather interior |

Wow, I have camel cloth seats.
I guess I should count my blessings that mine are still pretty clean.
I do worry, though, that maybe I should've gotten leather. It would clean much easier.
